Not in Puri?
2 h 35 min, starting at sunset.
Nirnaya Sindhu quotes Vyasa: “trimuhūrtaḥ pradoṣaḥ syād bhānāv astaṃ gate sati”, that is, Pradosh is the three muhurtas after the sun has set. Three of the night's fifteen muhurtas are its first fifth, worked out from this city's own sunset.
Why Pradosh begins at 5:06 PM in Puri
Sunset, and with it Pradosh, comes 19 minutes earlier in Puri than in New Delhi (5:25 PM). Puri lies 8.6° east of New Delhi. The Earth turns through that in about 34 minutes, so on longitude alone the sun sets 34 minutes earlier here. Puri's latitude takes back 15 minutes of that: it changes the length of the day and of the night.
